Nestled in the picturesque Salzkammergut of northern Austria, Schloss (Castle) Eggenberg is one of Europe’s oldest breweries – built on a history dating back to the 10th century and a family heritage stretching back nine generations.

Despite a brewing range that stretches from the incredibly pure Hopfenkönig Pilsner to the off-the-charts strength of the famed Samichlaus, the brewery’s beers are considered by many as some of Europe’s best examples of lagering. As a result, Eggenberg is Austria’s third-largest brewer and, to date, its specialty beers are exported to more than 40 countries worldwide.
